Fighting for freedom

I find it rather ironic that as our military is supposedly, according to the hawks, fighting for our freedom, our invasion of Iraq is not making us more free, but less. Where freedom has always been won has been primarily at home. We must protect and execute our Constitution. We must keep the corporate power at bay. We must stop the slide into a feudal Wal-State. Is there a threat from outside our borders? Perhaps. But what is the risk? There's a threat in the chemicals under your sink and driving towards you on the road. But what is the risk? What is the need for mitigation? In my opinion, the risk of losing our freedom because of the dubster administration, the neocon cabal, and the dimwitted apologists who still support them far outweighs any perceivable threat from outside our borders. Oh well. Keep on rockin'...
